Profiles Now Connect, My Page Is Tidier — June Update Roundup
Niseko Hub Editorial Team · 2026/06/05
Thank you, as always, for using Niseko Hub. Over the past few days we have rolled out a number of updates to make the site easier to use. Here's what's new.
Get to know other members better
Tap a poster's or commenter's name or avatar to open that person's profile.
What you'll see on a profile: - Their role in Niseko (resident, seasonal worker, visitor, considering moving, fan from afar) - How long they have been here (year of arrival / years here) - Base area (Kutchan, Hirafu, Hanazono, Niseko Town, Kyogoku, Rankoshi, elsewhere) - Languages they speak (Japanese, English, Chinese and more) - A short bio
You can fill in your own info from "Edit profile" on My Page. Finding people in the same situation, area, or language has gotten a lot easier.
A mark for Founding Members
Members who registered in 2026 now have a small orange ✨ badge next to their name. A sign that they have been building Niseko Hub with us from the start.
Founding Member perk
Spot a bug or issue? Founding Members earn 100 pt for each accepted report. A dedicated card on My Page makes reporting easy.
Levels feel closer
Instead of "to Niseko Legend" (the very top), the progress bar now shows progress to the next level — INSIDER, CONNECTOR and so on. Each step is within sight, and the day-to-day sense of progress comes back.
My Page is cleaner on mobile
- On mobile, "Liked posts" and "Your posts" are now right below your profile.
- The unnecessary frames are gone and the layout uses the full width of the screen for a more comfortable scroll.
- Your HUB score is shown compactly near the top of the profile.
Bug reports go straight to the admin dashboard
Messages sent from the "Feedback" form now also appear directly in the admin dashboard. Fewer things slip through, and we can respond faster.
A cap on referral points
The cap for points earned from inviting friends is now 5,000 pt. If you reach the limit, we'll think about other ways to say thank you.
We'll keep growing the site, little by little. If there's a feature you'd like, or something that feels hard to use, please let us know anytime (from the ✨ Founding Member card on My Page, or ☰ menu → Feedback).
