DAY 04

Starting the check-in with just your name
CAUSE In some countries you walk up and state your name
FIX In Japan always open with Jumping straight to your name feels like skipping a line.
Using ください where おねがいします is expected
CAUSE Textbooks teach ください first
FIX ください is correct but blunt. In service situations, おねがいします is the warmer, standard choice. Both work; the latter earns more smiles.
Forgetting the particle を
CAUSE English drops object markers
FIX 'チェックイン、おねがいします' is understandable but sounds foreign. Keeping を is one syllable and makes you sound trained.
